Our automated reminder service
"Protect and Check" is our automated reminder and a welfare check service. It aims to provide local authorities and health and social care providers with a convenient low cost reminder system that supports independent living.
Easy to set up without any installation, the automated reminder service can be tailored to each user’s individual needs.
Reminder types include but are not limited to:
- Welfare checks
- Auto medication reminders, for daily use or even for asthma sufferers on days with high pollen count
- Appointment reminders, that trigger automated reminder calls, for example GP and dental appointments, hospital check-ins, etc
Who benefits from automated reminders?
Protect and Check can benefit a wide variety of people, from older people to those living with long term conditions, as well as those living with mental health difficulties.
- Anyone living in sheltered or supported accommodation schemes
- Vulnerable people living alone
- General needs residents
When a reminder is set off, the user is prompted to respond by a simple ‘press 1 for yes and 2 for no’ system.
By confirming they have received their reminder no further action will be taken.
If they select number 2 or don’t respond, the system will automatically try again after a predefined period of time.
If on the second call the user doesn’t respond, our monitoring team will be alerted. A nominated contact will then be notified.
